Creative Writing with Cindy Frenkel: at Frenkel Studio, Huntington Woods, Thursdays, April 11, 18, 25, May 2, 9 & 16, 7 - 9 p.m. Aspiring writers and accomplished writers alike will meet to discuss their work and the craft of writing. Particular focus will be on poetry. We will explore the history of poetic form with an emphasis on contemporary poetry, noting how the study of it enhances students' writing. At least half of each class will be workshop, although a substantial portion will examine other written works. She wrote and edited the DIA magazine and co-authored 100 Essential Books for Jewish Readers. While earning her M.F.A. from Columbia University, she worked on The New Yorker’s editorial staff. A writer-in-residence with InsideOut Literary Arts Project, she also teaches at WSU and OCC. Registrants privy to location.
