From the director

The 1st annual Springfed Writers Retreat welcomes writers and poets, new and established, to attend workshops, readings, and provocative panel discussions. If you are simply fascinated with the written word, then you are encouraged to attend for a glimpse into the process of the writer's craft.

Springfed Writers Retreat is produced by Springfed Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the craft of writing, be it prose or song, the performance of works, be it spoken or sung. Also the producer of Lamb's Retreat For Songwriters (and 9 Walloon Writers' Retreats), our specialty is providing a creative environment for a community of artists. We put as much effort into the preparation of healthy meals as we do in the recruitment of our prestigious staff of authors and poets.

Should you make Northern Michigan your destination for literary inspiration this first weekend of October, you'll be arriving at the peak of Autumn.
