Writers for Writers Award!
M. L. Liebler, Maxine Hong Kingston & Junot Diaz have won
the prestigious 2010 Barnes & Noble/Poets & Writers 2010 Writers
for Writers Award. Past recipients were Russell Banks, A.M. Homes,
Stanley Kunitz, Bob Holman, Edward Albee, Judy Blume, Mary Higgins
Clark, Stephen King, Barbara Kingsolver, Wally Lamb, Walter Mosley, Susan
Sontag, Amy Tan and others. This is an award for established writers
who have worked extensively on behalf of local and national writers to
bring literature to the community. Liebler will receive the award
in NYC in March an Annual Poets & Writers Gala celebrating 40 years.
