Note from John D. Lamb The first person I contacted when I decided to start
a retreat for poets and writers on the shores of Walloon Lake was M. L.
Liebler. Thanks to his involvement and influence, the Walloon Writers’
Retreat has become a destination for poets as well as writers of prose.
For me and for many who live in the Metro Detroit area, he was the one
who introduced us to artists from far and wide. The writing programs and
poetry showcases implemented by M.L. over the last ten years have nearly
been the sole source of enrichment for local writers. As director of Springfed
Arts, I am very excited to be of assistance in the continuing inspiration
of these fine programs with the formulation of our new subsidiary, John D. Lamb |
